Sexy Funeral?

Oh this is a great example of 'I did it for the lulz'

Ruigong had made a promise to his father that if he lived past 100 years old, he would have a stripper dance at his funeral.

Jinlai would have been proud to know that he went out in style, with a $160 stripper dancing for 10 minutes in front of his coffin.

Marvel/Activision/Capcom - what?

So, our loyal Agent M (whose twitters I always look forward to) posted a link to the Marvel mentions in the Guiness Book of World Records : Gamers Edition. You can check it here.

I tweeted back that since the games were both Capcom created (Marvel vs Capcom 2 and X-Men vs Street Fighter) that Marvel should get back with Capcom now that Activision is out of the picture. I had read somewhere that the deal had finally ended. Turns out, my memory is gimpy. (surprise surprise!) This is why they don't pay me to think.

Agent M responded (kinda cool, I didn't expect it) Activision's not out of the picture! rule nothing out! show no mercy!

This is why I should research before I tweet. A quick Google search shows me that way back in November 2005, Marvel and Activision renewed their licensing deal until 2017. While this is good in terms of games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, it also means that we can continue to mourn the death of the Marvel vs Capcom franchise until we run out of Kleenex to blow snot into or 2017, whichever comes first.

The one that actually got the boot was EA - the "brains" behind the awful Rise of the Imperfects.

"Agent M" and the Skrull Invasion

Yay! Cheap excuse for more Rogue image use!

Marvel.com has apparently been on Twitter for a year now, but they've just posted a bulletin on myspace for those of us not in the know. I've copied and pasted their blurb below for those that don't want to wander into the dark landscape of MySpace.

Hey there True Believers! Here's your chance to get live updates from our very own Agent M. Agent M has been twittering for a little over a year, enjoys long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, the occational convention and of course, all things Marvel. Make sure you sign up for a Twitter account at www. twitter. com and follow Agent M (www. twitter. com/agent_m) for the latest scoop of all things Marvel and you never know what you may find out as the Secret Invasion draws near.

Most recent tweet reads as such: (good for a lol)
term just used in my office: "continuity porn." mmmmmm sexy

and apparently, the new company wide crossover, Secret Invasion has a MySpace as well.

Rampant Nintendo Fanboy-ism

Dedede...

Would Super Smash Bros Brawl be a 10 if it wasn't soaked with familiar Nintendo characters? I don't think so, and neither does this reporter. Points for bravery. Nintendo apologists can be an angry lot. She goes in to a lot of detail on what exactly a fanboy is and what we gamers should do about it, if anything. On Fanboyism and Reviewing.

Also, read Brawl Haul, her opinion on Brawl and why she doesn't like it as much as she wants to. (I can relate.)
