Revy this time. Absolutely amazing. It's 4,190 yen (about 35 dollars American) and worth every penny by the look of it. I drool in it's general direction.

Card Fighters DS is so very...broken

Kotaku breaks my little heart with this one. Card Fighters DS "contains a game-stopping glitch that keeps you from being able to collect all the cards" The entire story is here - but essentially all games released in the US have a glitch that appears in the 2nd playthrough and crashes the game. The worst part is that all the A level and S level cards are after the glitch. Soooo, you'll never get the good cards. Ever. SNK is "looking into it" ...yeah.

Good grief, I hope there is a recall.

Masane Figure

Beautiful Masane figure (Witchblade) at Hobby Stock. I'm not sure how old it is, being that I don't read the moonlanguage, (2006?) but it's nice to see a figure of her that's not so...fleshy. However, I am fairly sure that this is the figure with the squishy boobs that I referred to in an earlier post.
*sigh*

Earthworm Jim

I found a very cool (and well designed) Earthworm Jim fan site. I hadn't realized that fan sites had fallen out of favor over the years (till I built one recently). Earthworm Jim is such a cool, quirky game that it really deserves a fan site. So, go look at Rocket Worm, ok?. (and someone make a GOOD EWJ game, ok? The DS awaits it!)

Figures with squishy bewbs...yes, really

Anime online reports a new figure of Masane from Witchblade, now with the added feature of feedback groping. While the figure is new, the boob technlogy isn't. There have already been some Eva toys with it (Rei and Misato - I'm so glad they left Askua out of that nonsense 0_0;)

Every time I think I have officially seen everything the otaku world has to "offer", something new and terrifying pops up.

No, I'm not talking about my paltry amount of otaku swag, but the editor of Heisei Democracy. (site not particularly SFW but I've seen worse) He lives in Japan and took some pictures of his room. The first thing I thought of was the neighbor in Welcome to the NHK.

Genshiken Season 2 is GO

In addition to the 3 ovas that are coming out, Genshiken season 2 has been announced. FINALLY. I hope they get to the Ogiue-san story arc in volume 8, but I'm not holding my breath.

Maison Ikkoku Returns to TV

The best news I have heard in a long time.....

animeOnline reports that the live action version of Maison Ikkoku will finally be released (after being announced in 2005)

"The show will begin airing on May 12th at 9pm on TV Asahi. It will continue airing every Saturday from then until…well, eternity, if the drama matches the length of the original 80's TV anime, based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga. For you young'uns who don't understand what the heck we're talking about, Maison Ikkoku follows the inept wannabe college student Godai as he falls in love with and attempts to woo his widowed landlady, Kyoko. Kyoko will be played by the famous actress Misaki Ito, who also played romantic interest Saori in the Densha Otoko J-drama. "

I am ridiculously excited about this. I need to see if/when this is getting fansubbed. (omg, I said the 'f' word!)

Black Lagoon figure

I haven't watched as much of this show as I would have liked to, but I really enjoyed the bits I saw and the character design is great. Found this figure while browsing Hobby Stock.

I don't know if her name is spelled Shenhoa or Shenhua... x_0;
